I think our solution for getting things like keycaps is we’re going to make a secondary page of just individual components so I imagine PCB could be one of those. I’ll flag it and see if it can be added

Is the beeper from the previous model retained here? Or no more fun little sounds?

When there is news about how and if it is possible to order both keycaps and if you have pics of the silver case, will this be put in the newsletter so we know about these updates? This way I won’t have to check everytime this webpage:)

I’ll reply to you here and make a note to put it in the email updates as well so you don’t have to worry about missing it. I see them working out the details though so it should be live soon. I think they just got a bit derailed by China and the flu.

Thanks for the update, time to order :). Can I ask, I see on the components page for example the Backspace cap says BS while on the main page it gives BKSP. Are those different or only in the picture this is different (sorry for my nitpicking)

No apologies needed and please nitpick because we(obviously) miss things on occasion. I assume it’s just an artifact from one of the past revisions, but I’m not sure which one is newer so let me go hunt down an answer

Question: I see that the case has machined in standoff - will the standoffs be an appropriate height for use in Rev 3 cases to replace dead PCBs?

A practical question:
Shipping will be around end of November? How long do you think the journey will last to destination Europe? I’m leaving around 16th of December so the keyboard has to be in by then..

If I understand your question right, the case and pcb of both rev 3 and 4 should be compatible. The RGB board (acrylic layer) however is not interchangeable as I understand it.

Let me know if that didn’t answer your question though and I can ask for more info.

Hey Marcel,

I’ll check with Yanbo and company to see what the confidence level is at.

On paper it should arrive in time, but given the rather unpredictable status of global trade currently in addition to the usual holiday kerfuffle, I would probably plan on it showing up later than the 16th of December to be safe.

It very well could show up before. I just don’t think I have the power and knowledge to in good conscience guarantee it.

Will let you know what I hear back.

Yanbo is optimistic about the timeline right now and doesn’t foresee things getting held up.

If you have a trusted neighbor or friend as a backup plan in case it gets delayed somewhere then it seems safe? Unless you’re leaving leaving. Then maybe better to wait just in case.

Also, if it’s getting close you can always contact CS and as long as it hasn’t already shipped then I’m sure they can help out with either pausing shipment or changing address.
