Audio crackling and USB DAC buffer dropouts when running background scripts?

Hey everyone, I’ve been dealing with a really strange audio glitch on my desktop setup over the past week and could use some advice from anyone familiar with PC audio troubleshooting. Whenever I’m listening to music through my DAC/amp stack while running background game scripts from this website, I get sudden crackling, popping, and occasional micro-dropouts in sound.

It seems like whenever the script hooks into the client or executes heavy background tasks, it causes an internal spike that disrupts the audio stream completely. Alongside the popping, my USB DAC occasionally loses sync for a split second, which forces the Windows audio service to briefly hang before recovering.

Has anyone dealt with third-party background automation tools triggering DPC latency spikes like this on external audio interfaces, and is there a reliable way to fix these driver buffer interruptions without having to constantly restart the audio stack?

Have you tried running any other background scripts that aren’t from that site and do they still happen?

I’ve never encountered this before, but I am curious about it.

Interesting. I’m just reading around out of curiosity and learning so much I never knew about.

Have you tried using latencymon yet?
