Hello,
My Merlin/Gremlin setup no longer works in Windows.
My Fosi Audio DS2 has no issues.
Both use USB-C and are recognized.
Any help or suggestions?

Hmm interesting. Sorry, gonna bomb you with questions.
Are the LED’s still illuminating when you turn them on?
For your second point, you still see them in Windows when they’re plugged in and turned on?
Did it stop suddenly while you were using them or came back to them not working randomly?
Is the Gremlin connected with 3.5 or xlr?
Any extra info will help try and figure it out. Thanks
Hi Alex,
Issue seems totally Windows related.
It was working one day and then the next week or time I used them = no joy.
Qobuz is fine, Windows audio = no workie
Switching to another USB input on my Windows laptop did resolve the issue.
I’m going to see if Anker has a driver update for my USB-C dongle.
If I bypass it, everything works just fine, or just use the USB direct-connect to the laptop and be done.
LEDs = all working
Still see them in Windows = YES
XLR for the Gremlin to Merlin (no 3.5 or RCA)
Almost ready to ditch Windows for Apple Mac OS, as Apple just seems to work (more reliably).
Cheers to you and the crew!
I was too quick to reply, using a direct USB connection to my laptop, I am not able to make the Apos setup work at all in Windows.
Using Qobuz (desktop app, not browser and “Exclusive Mode”) it works with no issues.
I’m going to try another Windows laptop and my MacBook and test basic audio playback.
I don’t see the issue with either the Gremlin or Merlin (it works in Qobuz)…stupid Windows.
Haha I was just unrelatedly complaining with my friends about Windows breaking all of the game drivers every single update. Our end conclusion was that Linux is looking better and better every single day…
Keep us posted!
