Static on the Druid's 3.5

Hi folks, I recently got the Druid and Gremlin combo. I’ve got the Druid → Gremlin connected w/ the XLR and everything sounds fantastic. However, I also have the Druid connected to a set of Kanto Red powered speakers via a 3.5 → RCA cable and have noticed some static when listening with that setup. I’ve hooked my Topping DX3 Pro+ up to the speakers with RCA cables and everything sounded fine, so I don’t believe it’s the speakers.

I am wondering if that has anything to do with the Topping also having an amp, so the speakers are receiving an amplified signal with that, but not with the Druid. I was under the impression that since the speakers were powered that the signal from the DAC should be enough, but maybe not? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Powered speakers like the Kanto’s are designed to work with a line level signal from a DAC like the Druid so that combo should work. Are you able to test the Druid’s 3.5mm output into another device to see if the noise continues? Its also worth checking if the druid is picking up any interference from something like a wifi router or another device close by.
